woven with the quartered arms of Aragón and Jerusalem, per pale; Castillea and León, per fesse; Aragón-Sicilia; folch de Cardona y Aragón-Prades; Aragón-Urgel; and Pallars; encircled by the collar of the Fleece and ensigned by a large ducal coronet, against a blue field within a foliate scroll border

Note: The coat of arms are for Don Diego Fernandez de Cordova, called El Africano, born 1524 in Oran, on the northwest coast of present-day Algeria. He was the third Marquis of Comares, the Fourth Duke of Seborge [Valencia], and Fifth Duke of Cardona [Cataluna], Count of Ampurias and of Prades, Marquis of Pallars, and grand-constable of Aragon. He was married to the Infanta Juana de Aragon-Sicilia Y folch De Cardona, sister to the Infante Francisco. The Marquis of Comares, was elected Knight of the Golden fleece by Philip II in 1577, received the collar of the order in 1585, and died in 1601 having been governor of Oran in 1573 and 1589-94. He is buried at the abbey of Poblet, along with his wife.
