of oval form, the stepped cover with fixed shell and leaf clasped handle on a scrolled fish scale decorated ground, the cover engraved with a crest and coronet, the serpentine oval base with bold scroll handles, engraved with armorials and raised on lion’s legs with well modelled lion’s head capitals
